Electronic Starters/Overviews

Here are the links to SOME VERY helpful starting points for this project.   Remember, your library is open 24/7!  You can access these resources from home with an ID&PW, available from the library.

Don't forget, the library has several copies of the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, 7th Ed.  If you can't find an example of a source in our KHS handout, check the complete handbook for help.  Even better, ask your teacher or Ms. Teixeira for assistance.

Statistical Information

These sites give you a quick snapshot about countries, including maps and overviews.

Country Current Events

If you are exploring a cultural/politcal/controversial issue related to your book's country or culture, try one of the following databases which specialize in topics such as Child Labor, The Middle East Conflict, Discrimination, etc.

Google Search

Remember, you must all find and evaluate ONE source from the web.

You have a small sampling of country and culture books on the cart for you.  Or, use the catalog link below to locate print sources that might be helpful. Highly Recommended: Cultures of the World series!
