Objectives and Helpful Tips for Biography/Hero Research
Welcome Biography and Hero researchers, today we will:
- Use Noodle Tools to cite our biography/hero sources
- Before you can use Noodle, go to Connect.kcsd.org and login to Clever
- KCSD ID & PW
- Set up our NT accounts
- Create a project
- Share the project with Mr. Wagner, and your period
- Cite your sources
- Use the models
- Copy and Paste
- Download from the databases
- Before you can use Noodle, go to Connect.kcsd.org and login to Clever
- Continue learning about the person or hero whom you are researching using the sources on this Libguide
- Open your Google Drive
- Some articles can be downloaded directly to Google Drive
- You can save links and other information to your drive, or to the Power Point template shared by Mr. Wagner
- Download the Home Access PW Info for accessing resources outside of school
- Open your Google Drive
- Make sure that you find at least ONE (1) article/video from the resource Biography in Context.
- Search on your person's name
- Find a biography, blue (2 and 3 dots) articles are easiest to read
- Save the article you find to your Google Drive
- If you already found an article from this source, and you saved it into your Google Drive, you can copy and paste the citation into Noodle
- If you haven't yet found an article from this source, you can download the article directly from Biography in Context to Noodle Tools
- After you find an article in Biography in Context, you can use one of the other biography websites listed on this Libguide
- Make sure you find articles that are
- RELEVANT: About your person
- HIGH QUALITY: Use the reviewed Libguide resources /or books
- READABLE: Can you understand what you are reading???
- As you find information about your person, you can continue taking notes
- Take notes on the Biography project Power Point
- Have fun exploring and learning!
