- Global IssuesSearch on your country, this will bring you to your country's portal. From here, you will get a country overview, and on the right, a country profile.
- World History in ContextIf your culture was in the past, use this source to give you an overview of the history of your country, or the events that provided the context for the culture of the time.
- SIRS ResearcherGood for immigrant cultures, and other social issues worldwide.
- Gale Holocaust Overview Article (Easy but long)From Gale, download to Google drive, noodle tools, translation and audio available.
When searching, please make sure to choose reputable sites. Always check for authority, who wrote, sponsored, or published the information you plan to use. When in doubt, ask, or use one of the handy web evaluation papers. Stay away from sources from Weebly, Google Slides, and other student-generated content.

Select Books
The library has an excellent collection of cultural resources, particularly the Cultures of the World series for current cultures. For past cultures, start with a history of your country. If your book took place during a specific period such as The Middle Ages or Victorian England, search using the words "daily life."
