Biography Project: Noodle Tools

Before you try to login to Noodle Tools,:

  • Go to Connect.kcsd.org and login to Clever 
    • KCSD ID & PW

Once you are ready to cite your sources:

  • Remember, you can either
    • Create citations from scratch using the NT templates
    • From some sources, you can copy->paste->edit
    • Many of the databases allow you to directly export the citations into Noodle

 

  • HONORS ONLY: Your 3 sources will be annotated using Noodle Tools based on:
  • ADVANCED ONLY: You will take notes on the source you used, your notes should address:

 

  • After carefully considering/reading/viewing/listening to your sources, they can be annotated.  Each one paragraph annotation should include:
    • A short summary on what the source provided. What did you learn?

    • A brief evaluation assessing the source objectivity (or lack thereof)

    • Reflection: What evidence did you find to support your evaluation?  Why do you think the source is objective/opinion-based/biased?

SUMMARIZE. The (article/photograph, etc) _______ from (where? when?) explains/argues....(what did you learn?  Summarize in 2-3 sentences) EVALUATE: The source is (objective/opinion-based/biased towards one side, etc.) because ( 1-2 sentence evaluation).  REFLECT: (can be first person).  The evidence (what evidence?) led me to conclude that this (article/ podcast, etc) is (biased/objective/opinion based) because (1-2 sentences of your thoughts about the article).
